your fired!

Today we were leaving a friends house and Cash got into a bit of a spat with his friend Max. And I said Cash, Max is your friend, you don't do that to your friend, we get a long with our friends. And he said I am firing Max.

Not sure how he came up with that one, but it made us all laugh. Because it was appropriately used - he decided he wanted to fire him as a friend. I am not worried though- they will be friends next time.

So sad.....

Look at what I have to look at- how can you resist that face?  This was his SAD face after I told him that Joshua was not going to come over to play. It wasn't that I was punishing him, It was that Joshua physically was not able to come over to play because he was doing something else.

Anyway- he worked himself up and this is what it looks like. It was actually worse, but it got softened a bit as I fumbled for my camera photo to take the picture.

don't say stupid

We have been trying to teach Cash that stupid is not a good word to say.  Because we mainly don't want him to call his friends stupid. Unfortunately Shawn and myself have a habit of calling inanimate things stupid, you know like- I can't get this stupid can open. Or in Shawn's case today when he said - get out of my way - stupid car.  And little ears in the back seat heard and were in the back to promptly say, Dad- we don't say stupid. And Dad said- you are right- I am sorry we don't say stupid. Cash then proceeded to say, dad you can say "excuse me out of my way" and we agreed that would be a much better way to say it.  Shawn said- he often times thanks God for these little reminders that the ears are always listening....

embarrassing moments

So we were outside talking to my neighbor. And I picked up Cash and as I was talking Cash starts pushing on my breast. And when I try to non-chalantly brush away, he says, I push your boobies mommy.
Oh great! Right in front of my neighbor. Who half heartedly says- he knows what he is supposed to be doing....
Embarrassing....

Photos of Cash from Dad's view

So I left for the bathroom and Daddy snapped a few photos of Cash. I am very impressed since most days he wont even touch my camera to take a picture. But I thought he did a great job and I loved the pictures! And of course Cash seemed more cooperative than he sometimes is for me.

Here he is through the eyes of his Dad!  A lot can happen in a few minutes...

Love this. Really cool!
love this with the reflection and little kid under his arm is like hey- what are you doing?
This is what Cash usually does to me- gets right in the lens

rocket boy

Cash likes to put on boots. It makes him think he is Rocket Boy. Tonight he wanted to wear his red and blue rain boots to bed. I let him wear them while I read him his books but then when it came time to get under the covers. I made him take them off. He said Rocket Boy wears boots. I told him he wasn't Rocket Boy and I took the boots off and put them by the bed and told them they would be there for him in the morning.
I went to check on him and change his diaper. And when I pulled back the covers, I couldn't figure out why his legs weren't moving. And there they were- his rocket boots. He was wearing them to bed.

paparazzi

I feel like I am the paparazzi on the vacation following these two rockstars

I am so in love with these two guys!!!

2:30am

2:30 am that is the time Cash awoke the first night in Hawaii. After the long flight, a little nap and then going to bed late. Completely off of his schedule and he awoke at 2:30am. And once we were all awake and going at 6:30am he was non-stop running..... Until he decided to sit down in the middle of the trail. And then he got up and ran some more until he....crashed out in the car.
